So long and farewell 2018. This past year has been so good to us but we’re ready for bigger and better things to come. We’re celebrating New Year's Eve with our loved ones tonight and what better way to get the party going than to whip up some delicious drinks to commemorate the past year? Here are some last minute recipes that not only look spectacular but is pretty easy to make too.
Pink X-mas Smoothie
Who says that NYE drinks have to contain alcohol? This delectable smoothie is a healthier alternative for those watching their waistline. Heck, we’d choose this drink over anything any day. How can anyone resist a pink smoothie with a cute gingerbread man cookie on top? Made with frozen bananas, frozen raspberries, almond milk, vanilla and speculoos spice, this smoothie will definitely be a special treat for anyone.
What you need:
1 ¼ cup frozen raspberries
1 frozen banana
1 ½ cup almond milk
½ cup of natural yogurt
A couple teaspoons of sweetener of choice
A handful of ice cubes
Put all the ingredients in a mixer and blend away until smooth and creamy. (Optional: Top it off with whipped cream, add a dash of vanilla powder and speculoos spice)
Sugared Cranberry Spritzers
Cranberries are such a festive, seasonal berry and it’s the perfect ingredient to use to create celebratory cocktails. This sweet and tart cranberry spritzer recipe by Sand and Sisal is super simple to make and will put everyone in the holiday spirit.
Pour 1 ounce of 100% cranberry juice into champagne flutes
Pour in some bubbly Prosecco

Combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir the sugar for about 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Toss in fresh cranberries until fully coated. Using a mesh strainer spoon, transfer the coated cranberries to a wire rack and let it dry for at least 30 minutes. Roll cranberries in a bowl of sugar until they’re well coated. Grab a stir stick and add on the cranberries.

2 oz of rum (spiced or unspiced)
1 oz of almond milk eggnog (or any other eggnog)
A dash of orgeat syrup (or any sweetener of choice)
1 egg white
Grated nutmeg and cinnamon
In a large bowl, pour in almond milk eggnog and stir in rum. Add a dash of orgeat syrup and mix well. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a ¼ cup of sugar until it forms soft, white peaks. Fold in the egg whites into the bowl. Serve the cocktail in cups topped with freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon.
Winter Blueberry Latte

1 heaping tablespoon or more of fresh or frozen blueberries
1 ½ cup of oat milk
Dash of cardamom spice, cinnamon and vanilla
Organic raw honey or any sweetener of choice
Add all the ingredients in blender and mix until smooth.
Pour the mixture in a medium saucepan and over medium heat. Heat the mixture quickly and add organic raw honey (or any other sweetener). Pour into a glass, add few blueberries and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
